Toolbox   Monitoring progress: Implementing ageing actions

Why monitor and evaluate action on ageing?

Regular monitoring of action is an important element of the implementation process and can assist in ensuring accountability and best value is achieved for both the council and residents. Moreover, an effective monitoring process can highlight how different activities in the strategy are being used and understood, to assist with the allocation of resources and to position high quality activities as potential funded projects.

How can your council evaluate their action on ageing? This section provides tools for evaluation, ensuring that the ageing strategy remains relevant to a community over time and as conditions change.
